Invest Turks and Caicos Agency was launched at the Provo Golf & Country Club in Providenciales on Monday January 18th, 2016 under the auspices of Hon. Washington Misick Minister of finance, Trade and Investment. The reception saw the attendance of the heads of various private sector and several government officials such as His Excellency the Governor Peter Beckingham, Premier Hon. Dr. Rufus Ewing and First Lady Dawn A. Perry, Her Excellency Deputy Governor Anya Williams and her husband Darren Williams, the newly appointed CEO for Invest TCI John Rutherford and PS of Finance Mrs. Athenee Harvey-Basden.
Inward Investment attorney Mark Fulford who was also present at the launch of Invest TCI said that the re-establishment of this agency is crucial to ensuring that international hotel developers and persons wishing to invest in TCI have a one stop shop to serve as a pillar of support to investors.
Invest TCI Agency works with investors who want to do business in the TCI, as well as advising government on how it can create the right environment to encourage trade and streamline the investment process.
