Caroline J. Kerswell, joins F Chambers as a Senior Associate. She is a Solicitor Advocate, called to the Bar, a scholar of the Middle Temple.
Caroline has worked for more than twelve years in legal and financial markets cases and understands the intricacies and attention to detail required to service international clients with complex, high value matters.
At F Chambers, Caroline is charged with inward investment, development agreements, commercial matters, financial markets, Regional Governmental Liaison and is our Chief Negotiator with Government and Regulators in the Caribbean, UK, EU and beyond.
Caroline career started in the regulated financial markets at Morgan Stanley rotating through due diligence, compliance and Anti Money Laundering regulation in the commodities sector. She was recruited to work for the former Legal Adviser to the Saudi Ministry of Petroleum at Outer Temple Chambers. Her work attracted a specialism in areas of Civil and Commercial litigation, Military and Security, Financial Crime and The Bribery Act and developed a Private Client expertise with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals in the fields of: Succession, Saudi Arabian Probate, Commercial and Residential Property matters. During this time she was recognised by the Foreign Office G8 UK Woman of Achievement Award: for UK/Middle East Partnership.
Caroline has recently been bridging the UK Commonwealth regulatory gaps in the Caribbean. She acted as lead Counsel, successfully completing the HMRC Designation as a Recognised Stock Exchange for the Barbados Stock Exchange Inc. (BSE) in April 2019 under UK Tax legislation.
Caroline’s legal qualifications are complemented by her highly polished communication skills and an impressive network that spans the upper echelons of political society developed during her candidature in consecutive national elections in the UK.
Caroline’s rapport with clients is her distinctive attribute. When not jumping on a plane for meetings in her limited spare time, she enjoys aquatic sports, cooking international cuisine and mentoring students.
