Mark A Fulford Re-elected on TCI Bar Council

On March 18th, F Chambers Managing Partner and Attorney Mark A Fulford was re- elected by his peers as a Bar Council member for 2017 – 2018.

Fulford said, “ I am humbled by the opportunity to serve my peers in this non-paying role of ensuring the highest standards of practice is carried out by all the attorneys of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and by fostering an environment of continued education and training for new and existing members of the TCI Bar.”

The Bar governing body for 2017 – 2018 is made up of the following attorneys: Jonathan Katan of Miller Simmons O’Sullivan ,President, Sarah Knight of Misick and Stanbrook, Vice President, Desiree Downes of the A G Chambers, Attorney General’s Member, Mark A. Fulford of F Chambers Attorneys, Member, Oreika Selver of Invest TCI Office, Member.

The Bar Council is the governing body for the attorneys who are called to the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar and that are members of the TCI Bar Association. The functions of the Bar Council are to maintain the honor and independence of the Bar Association; to promote and encourage proper standards of practice and conduct among members of the Bar Association; to promote and encourage the development and dissemination of legal learning, education and training; and to encourage the improvement of the administration of justice and procedure. The Council sits on a regular basis in an aim to carry out its functions as prescribed by the Legal Professional Ordinance.
