Chief Justice Mabel Agemang continues to modernize the Court System in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The Courts of TCI will now sit in accordance with international standards and practices where there will be structured recesses and Court Terms.
Managing Partner Mark Fulford in response said “this is a welcome modernization of the practice of law in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It allows for not only the Judiciary to be able to better function, but it also allows for Attorneys to regroup and better function as well.”
Fulford further commented “with this change we should see an overall improvement and greater efficiency in the practice of law in this country.”
